All Eyes on the Child, Self Portrait, Sally Stinson 2025

Sally Stinson Studio

Creative Wellness through journaling, reflection, and expressive arts.

Helping People reconnect with themselves through creative practice.

You do not need artistic talent to benefit from creative work

Through journaling, mark making, collage, reflection, and guided practice, I help adults and young people slow down, pay attention, express themselves and reconnect to what matters.

Participants often leave feeling calmer, clearer and more confident in their own voice.

This work is personal, but it is not solitary. Reflecting and creating alongside others often fosters a quiet sense of connection, community and belonging.

Our Expertise

About Sally Stinson

I came to this work after a lifetime of listening carefully to people.

I am a retired psychotherapist, teacher, writer, and creative practice leader who has spent decades working with children, adults, families, and older people. Over time, I became increasingly interested in something simple but important: people feel better when they are able to pay attention to their own lives in meaningful ways.

Not through perfection.

Not through performance.

But through expression, reflection, memory, imagination, and making.

My work combines journaling, collage, stitching, mark-making, conversation, and quiet creative practices that help people reconnect with themselves. Sometimes that looks playful. Sometimes thoughtful. Sometimes surprisingly emotional. Often it simply feels relieving.

I do this work because I have seen what happens when people are given space to slow down and notice their own thoughts, memories, ideas, and inner life without pressure to “be artistic” or produce something impressive.

Children become more confident and engaged.

Older adults rediscover memories, insight, and a renewed sense of mattering.

Busy people remember they still have an inner life worth tending.

What I offer is not traditional art instruction and not therapy. It is guided creative practice for wellness, reflection, attention, and personal expression.

I believe:

Attention can’t be forced, but it can be restored.

Creativity belongs to everyone.

Journaling and creative work can help steady us during times of change.

Small acts of making can reconnect us to meaning, memory, and self-trust.

People do not need more pressure to perform; they need room to become more fully themselves.
